Sonya Williams a.k.a “SHUGGA MAMA,” got her start in her grandmother's southern kitchen. Grandmuffin, as she is affectionately known, passed down generations of family recipes and taught Shugga Mama the art of infusing flavors with passion and love. 

Homegrown in Atlanta, GA her enthusiasm for creating and appreciating delicious treats led her To find her niche in the dessert industry and master her signature recipe for “The Best Damn Red Velvet in Atlanta.” 

For the past decade Shugga Mama has been hand crafting and delivering her sweet treats to clients all over the Atlanta area and Abroad.  Her baking style is pure with down home comfort, and it shows as she expands her talents on screen as seen in Dessert Wars. Voted best desserts in Atlanta by People’s Choice she takes pride in capturing her childhood with made from scratch flavor favorites derived from her southern roots.
